"We passed a very pleasant stay, in this beautiful house, very well equipped, with a fantastic view on the lake and the neighbourhood. We liked particularly the veranda, the tranquility and the beauty of the place, the very complete equipment of the house. Cornelia and Mike made us a very nice welcome, they live in some kilometers and are always available spot if needed or by telephone. They can help for everything, until print our boarding passes for return ! Thank you very much to them. We were always satisfied by our Homelidays destinations, but this one is to be quite particularly recommenden, and will certainly be often requested...."

Wunderschoene Rosen, die herrlich duften, schoene Zierstraeucher, besonders Fuchsien, heller Wintergarten und grosszuegige Terasse. Das Haus ist fuer 6 Personen absolut ausreichend und die Ausstattung laesst keine Wuensche offen. "Tres jolie maison, idealement situee au-dessus du Lough Derg avec une vue somptuese. Amenagement et equiements plus que complets comprenant tout ce que l'on peut desirer (par example, il y a meme des jumelles pour apprecier la vue de la veranda, la WI-FI, un ordinateur, due linge de maison et des produits de toilette comme dans un grand hotel). Belles chambres, 3 salles de bain, veranda, salon et petit salon tres confortables. Charmante salle a manger jouxtant une grande cuisine parfaitement equipee. Une cheminee garnie pour les soirees fraiches et le chauffage est regle pour conserver une temperature agreeable. Grand jardin, pelouses vert Irlande, dependances, billard, etc, etc...Et l'accueil de Madame Down est trest chaleureux ce qui est infiniment appreciable apres un long voyage, avec meme un panier de douceurs contenant une bouteille de vin francais, excellent. Notre hotesse a ete a notre disposition pendant tout le sejour pour repondre a tout ce dont nous pouvions avour besoin, et nous indiquer les bons pubs et restaurants (Ah ! Les soirees dans les pubs de campagne avec leurs musiciens). Mille merci a elle. Nous ne l'oublierons pas."

Das Ferienhaus ist wie abgebildet im Internet. Der Aufenthalt in diesem Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir konnten uns gut vom Alltagsleben erholen. Wonderful, large house that exceeded our expectations. We rented the house for a winter writing "retreat". It is very well suited for that, with lots of space and many different rooms to sit in. It is situated in a beautiful, quiet area and has a wonderful view on the lake. The house, and especially the kitchen, is very well equipped. The owners, Connie and Mike took great care that we had everything we needed.

"This place has everything!! Truly a memory creator!"

My girlfriend and I traveled here with my parents who are both in their 60s as a home-base to explore Ireland. The entire process was so easy from start to finish, and far exceeded our expectations. Anything, and everything you could think of could be found within the home, including wi-fi which was very useful in planning our day trips. Washer/Dryer was a huge plus, and so was the dishwasher. There is plenty of space for a large family, and plenty to keep kids entertained with. Very private, and secluded. We immediately felt right at home with Connie's help, and would recommend this home to anyone. Plenty of off street parking (we had 2 cars), and there was room for more. There is a large grocery store (Tesco) about 20-30 minutes away to stock up on food and beer. We all had tesco mobile phones, and reception was great from this location. All Pro's and no Con's. Thanks Connie for a wonderful stay!!

Superbe vue sur le Shannon et plus encore au couchee due soleil. Maison lumineuse at tres bien equipee. Accueil charmant de Connie avec beaucoup de convivialite et toutes les indications pour utiliser les appareils. Tout es note sur des fiches .. un veritable "jeu de piste" tres efficace. Une tres bonne adresse qui peutetre recommondee pour a 6 personnes sans ​​probleme. Et une grande envie de revenir !!!

​​"Home from home with a spectacular view!"
Just got back last night from our stay at Shannonview. I'd only ever booked a holiday using a travel agent so didn't know what to expect from booking independently. Have to say it was very easy. The bungalow is exactly how it's advertised plus more! Connie gave us a very warm welcome, including some foodie/drinkie gifts which my hubby was very pleased with. She also made it very easy to contact her should we have any problems (which we didn't). The bungalow is very roomy and comfortable with extras in the kitchen such as washing up liquid, tea towels, tea, coffee, salt, pepper etc. For anyone with mobility issues (I myself have MS) there are quite a few steps at the front but not as many at the back. The beds are sooooo comfy. I told Connie she needed to get rid of them as they're so comfortable you don't want to get up on a morning!
We had some great days out to Dublin zoo, Bunratty castle, the cliffs of Moher (extremely windy, take a hat and coat) and the rock shop. The Nenagh heritage centre was very helpful with information about my husband's ancestors, right down to the whereabouts of burials etc. We ate at cafe Q in Nenagh, a lovely little coffee shop with very tasty spelt bread, Larkins which didn't impress with their food and the Whiskey Still which did. Our meal there was lovely and there was plenty of it. The locals are very welcoming and friendly, always happy to chat away with you, we'll definitely visit Ireland again and again. Thank you again Connie for a wonderful holiday home from home.
